The Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has given USSAAC the right to adapt their tool SHOW ME: Booklet for Emergency Shelters to help the people impacted by the Hurricanes to support the needs of people who rely on communication tools and technologies (augmentative and alternative communication) now and in future emergency/disaster incidents. Liz Begley, SLP, USSAAC AAC Disaster Committee, recently reached out to Samantha Stone, Risk Communication Coordinator at the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management. Thanks to MA for their willingness to share this great tool. Stay tuned for future developments on adapting this tool for current and future situations
