We have learned of a valuable FEMA website. Together with state and federal partners, FEMA is actively supporting Hurricane Helene response efforts. The site is easy to follow directions for each state and includes great information from local officials to stay safe.

The United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication has the capacity to restore lost or damaged communication aids for victims of disasters who rely on AAC supports. USSAAC is responding to requests equipment for people who use AAC and have lost their communication tools/technologies. We are also aware that many people in need are probably not aware of us. Please forward the attached USSAAC Flyer to any agencies or individuals you believe might benefit from knowing about this help.
